Did you know?

It was revealed in 2006 that the Dolls are salaried employees of Interscope Records, giving the label a high level of control over the group's finances and business decisions.

The industry is trying new stuff everyday. Also, this explains Nicole's prominence as singer and songwriter. She's the only member of PCD with writing credit on the album.

*whatchu think about that?*

that's an interesting move by the label and the artists. if they flop, they still get paid. if they do extremely well, then they get screwed.

i wonder what were the details of the contract.

elle - under what conditions would you considered to be a salary employee for your talents? would you consider it if you kept your publishing?

I would say yes - I'd consider being an salaried employee so long as there was a vesting schedule in terms of success - like a quarterly review. I would negotiate merchandising and publishing, and touring of course.

The drawback is the lack of creative control. But honestly with the right signing bonus, it's like being salaried anyways.
