What I find most interesting is that this guy was probably nominated because they want him to help overturn one issue. But with all the other important things that the Supreme Court does, do the people who nominated him really know what they're doing? Guess we'll all have to find out over the next generation or so.

So "why"... guess it's more and move evident these days, that the Golden Rule works: The one with the Gold makes the rules.

I guess my "why" is really questioning this whole abortion issue. *as a disclaimer, this is me just fed up*

As a woman - who is pro choice - I just get so pissed off at the way the conservatives of this country are trying to control people's social behavior especially when they don't do a damn thing to help out the situtation.

How many of these people adopt a child? Are big brothers/big sisters? Not to mention the fact that my body is my body and you shouldn't have a say in my reproductive rights. I agree in the laws that restrict abortions after a certain period of time. But I have an issue with men (namely the Supreme Court) who have such a strong opinion on the matter. There are women anti-abortion conservative groups who argue that the mental anguish and social stigma does a greater disservice to women who get an abortion, but I can at least see their POV (no matter how jaded: you can't protect someone by making the decision for them).

It's just a classist, sexist and probably racist policy when it comes from the people with the Gold.
